Grandma's dining room

Well, here it is - my first card with THE Dawn's Damask Designs. I was just thinking about all the places I've seen damask, and I thought way back to my childhood. My Grandma Irma had Damask wallpaper in her dining room. It was goldish green and soft. Kinda furry. Remember the seventies? It was classy 70s. LOL. So thinking about that - I made this card. I just don't have that perfectly ugly gold green so I used PTI's lovely Avocado instead. I stamped the design with vanilla and added flocking so it's kinda furry just like Grandma's old dining room. Normally these are not my kinda colors unless I'm making a Marine card, but this trip down memory lane was kinda fun.

  2. That's very beautiful! I totally remember 70's flocked wallpaper. Well, we couldn't afford it, but I remember being places that had it! I like your little rosette thing on the ribbon, too.

  3. Great card Laura! Yes, this sure does resemble the "Grandmotherly" wallpapers from years ago! Great job on this card- and the details are really nice. That button is terrific and I really like the scalloped borders.
